Between 1997 and 2000 Economech was contracted by Village International on their entertainment centre developments in Argentina. We were engaged to fully design and project manage the airconditioning, which included arranging the purchase of main plant items, production of detailed construction drawings, supervising the tender process with local contractors, monitoring costs and construction, and commissioning the systems.

As a result of our involvement we have reduced the airconditioning construction costs by 20% and have made significant savings on maintenance costs, without compromising the quality or efficiency of the systems. To date we have been involved in the construction of six major complexes throughout Argentina ranging in size from 8 to 20 cinemas, complete with associated bowling alleys, time-out areas and restaurant facilities.

One such project is the Recoletta Entertainment Centre in the heart of Buenos Aires. This is a $US65 million development over 10 levels incorporating 16 cinemas as well as offices, bars, restaurants, time-out areas and carparking.
